The Sun is a visualisation taken from NASA's research visuals and first exhibited at the Post Gallery in Kaunas on the 16th of February (Lithuania's first independence declaration day), 2015.
The sun used to be worshiped in many ancient cultures, we fly around it not the other way around. A heterogenous mass of melted plasma does not ask questions and does not explain itself.
Kaunas is the city of resurrection, the temporary capital of Lithuania 1918-1940. It's current era in the new millenium reminds a phoenix rising from the ashes of the old. Just like the sun, the city has its own rhythm and gravity.
